World Clock & Time Zones

Compare time zones across cities worldwide with meeting planner, weather data, and business hours visualization

World Clock & Time Zones is built for remote teams, SREs, and analysts who coordinate across continents. Compare cities side‑by‑side, scrub time forward or backward, and instantly see who is in business hours, evening, or off‑hours.

Instead of a dense table, the tool uses clear, card‑based tiles so each city keeps its context (name, country, offset, and optional weather). Reorder cards, pin favorites, and preview how a proposed meeting time looks for everyone before you send a calendar invite.

Premium users unlock unlimited cities, live weather, advanced date ranges (±30 days), and one‑click calendar export—perfect for recurring cross‑region coordination.

Key features

  • Up to 5 city timezones
  • Real-time clock display with seconds
  • Time zone conversion and comparison
  • Date/time scrubbing (±7 days)
  • Basic meeting time finder
  • Copy time/date to clipboard
  • Export timezone list as JSON
  • Business hours visualization

How it works

The planner renders a synchronized timeline for all selected cities. A shared time scrubber moves every card in unison, accurately handling DST transitions and historical offsets. Business‑hour shading and weekend cues make it obvious when a slot is workable.

The meeting finder scores candidate windows using overlap and local business‑hour heuristics. You can nudge the duration, adjust constraints, and copy or export the final slot in seconds. Weather overlays (premium) provide useful context for travel or outdoor events.

Step-by-step usage

  1. Add 2–5 cities you collaborate with most often.
  2. Drag cards to match your mental ordering (e.g., east → west).
  3. Scrub the timeline to preview tomorrow or next week.
  4. Open the meeting planner and set the desired duration.
  5. Pick a high‑score slot and copy or export it to your calendar.
  6. (Optional, premium) Enable weather and extend the date range to ±30 days.

Examples

Find overlapping business hours

Add San Francisco, London, and Sydney. Use the time scrubber around 16:00 London time to catch morning SF and late‑evening Sydney. Look for green (business‑hour) shading on at least two cards.

Plan a weekly stand‑up

Open the meeting planner, set duration to 30 minutes, and restrict to local working hours. Pick a slot that scores well for your core team, then Copy or Export (premium) to your calendar.

Preview tomorrow’s hand‑off

Scrub to tomorrow 09:00 in your team lead’s timezone. Confirm the receiving engineer in another city is still within business hours, then copy the localized time for your hand‑off note.

Security & privacy

Where applicable, processing runs locally in your browser. Inputs are not logged or sent to external services. Premium features inside the app use Supabase Auth to protect access. For sensitive work, prefer local files and avoid sharing secrets. Outputs include copy and download actions to minimize manual transcription errors.

Accessibility

The tool supports keyboard navigation and screen readers with ARIA labels and descriptive messages. Focus order is logical, and error messages use human‑readable language. These docs maintain proper heading hierarchy and color contrast, and the app version includes skip links and live regions where appropriate.

Limitations & disclaimers

Some advanced capabilities are available only in the DevToolsHub app with a premium plan. The static documentation does not execute code or store inputs. Where behaviors differ across runtimes (browsers, servers, language engines), treat outputs as representative and verify against your production stack when correctness is critical.
